A vital and healthy organization needs to react and respond to changing times in order to survive and prosper.  Unresponsiveness breeds complacency which is anathema to growth.

Each Branch of the UELAC is free to pursue initiatives of local or national interest and "... while conforming to the national organization's objectives and programs, local branches are self-governing and produce their own activities and events".

The UELAC Dominion Office and the individual Branches have developed and produced books, organized annual events, established heritage sites, set up reference libraries, acted as points of contact for Loyalist information and promoted awareness in Canadian heritage and history.

Special projects listed in this section are noted for having broad general appeal and long-term implications to UEL's and Canadians in general.  By no means should this be considered a comprehensive list of the many current efforts being undertaken by UEL Branches or members... of which there are many.
